A 28kWh Battery System for Residential Solar Storage
The homeowner required a larger energy reserve than a standard single-battery installation could provide. The project was designed to store more daytime solar generation, support household electricity use after sunset and provide backup capacity during temporary grid interruptions.
The completed installation combines two matching battery units with a Solis inverter, an electrical distribution panel, protection equipment and system cabling in one dedicated indoor area.
Two Battery Units Form One 28kWh Energy Storage Bank
The installation uses two floor-standing LiFePO4 battery units operating together as one coordinated residential storage system.
Using two separate battery units makes transportation and positioning more manageable than installing one oversized enclosure. It also allows technicians to inspect each battery independently.
Solis Inverter Integration
The battery bank is connected to a Solis inverter that manages energy conversion between the solar array, battery system, household loads and utility grid.
Before installation, battery voltage, charge and discharge current, communication protocol and operating parameters must be verified against the selected Solis inverter model.
